National Jet Systems wurden 1989 etabliert und nach einer Namensänderung operieren NJS nun als Cobham Aviation. Die Verträge für die Boeing 717 haben weiterhin eine Laufzeit bis 2012 und es bleibt abzuwarten, ob Qantas weiterhin diese Boeing 717 für QantasLink unter Vertrag nehmen wollen.

Cobham operates 11 Boeing B717 aircraft on behalf of Qantas regional subsidiary QantasLink. The company flies more than one million passengers for QantasLink each year, across 300 sectors per week. Other than the physical supply of the actual B717 aircraft by Qantas, Cobham provides all then necessary resources and infrastructure required to deliver this service. This includes all pilots, cabin crew, the high capacity CASA approved Air Operators Certificate (AOC) and associated regulatory compliance systems as well as the engineering and maintenance support for the entire B717 fleet, maintaining QantasLink's branding strategy and standards.
