AirTran finally flew into history after flight 1 made the final scheduled flight on December 28th 2014 from Atlanta to Tampa. The airline used one of their Boeing 717s for this occasion. The route was the first one operated by ValuJet Airlines in 1993. Here is a video showing the last-ever arrival of a Boeing 717 of AirTran at the gate at Tampa:
